I am married to a wonderful wife, Pam, and have four sons. I am a retired teacher and veteran. I graduated from Roberts Wesleyan (College) University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I have dual master’s degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Ministries.
In 2021, after waking up from a coma brought on by COVID, I felt a deep, renewed desire to serve the Lord. I seek to spread the Gospel in sincere, meaningful, and practical ways to encourage everyone to begin their journey with Jesus Christ.

Through the lens of every 3:16 verse in the New Testament, and the few Epistles that do not have a 3:16 verse, this book unveils powerful themes of faith, hope, and love, guiding believers to a deeper understanding of Scripture and a vibrant walk with Christ.

The main theme of this Bible study book, “Three Sixteen – Unveiling the Heart of God,” draws readers into a deep exploration of the powerful truths woven throughout each 3:16 verse in the New Testament. Through these core verses, the study reveals profound insights about God’s character, Jesus’ redemptive mission, and the call to discipleship that shaped the lives of early believers. Each chapter focuses on a unique aspect of the gospel-from the compassion and humility of Jesus in Matthew 3:16 to the transforming power of God’s love in John 3:16, the responsibility to persevere in faith seen in Hebrews 3:16, and the urgency to confront false teachings in Jude 3:16.

Through engaging commentary, practical applications, and historical context, readers are guided to see how each verse serves as a cornerstone of Christian belief, offering timeless lessons on love, obedience, perseverance, faithfulness, and redemption. This theme of “Unveiling the Heart of God” extends beyond academic study, inviting readers to experience a personal encounter with Christ’s message, to reflect on the essential elements of the gospel, and to embrace these truths as guiding principles in their own lives.

As a devotional journey through the New Testament’s “3:16” passages, this study encourages believers to grow in their understanding of the Christian life, renew their commitment to following Christ, and develop a richer, more intimate relationship with God. Each chapter becomes a step in a transformative process, calling readers to let the gospel shape their daily actions, strengthen their community bonds, and inspire them to share God’s love and truth with the world.
